Known for its major online social media following, Netflix currently has over 6 million followers on Twitter and 61 million likes on Facebook. But that does not stop them from growing their audience with funny memes. 
One of the foremost recent samples of a successful marketing meme campaign from Netflix is their Movie Bird Box campaign. Released and released on Netflix together of their real Netflix movies, the movie was promoted on social media using many sorts of funny memes.

Due to the proliferation of memes surrounding the film's release, many users are exposed to memes, many of whom haven't seen a movie before. With numerous jokes and permanent memes (many of them had to observe a movie to know them), this convinced many users that they eventually gave it a watch. After the discharge of a serious streaming service for the Netflix movie, "Bird Box", the web looks to explode in the dark.

With users on Twitter, Instagram, and therefore the like resulting in apps with real memes and jokes, it are often said that marketing has taken care of itself, encouraging views to know clues. The rapid popularity of some memes passed on Twitter, especially accounts with less followers or less past content created a way of mystery where they came from. 

Some have even come to the conclusion that Netflix has created bots to spread awareness about the discharge of their new original. Now, if Netflix were to use automated bots to market their content as a sort of guerrilla strategy it might not be easy to suggest that it works, with "Bird Box" reaching quite 45 million streams during the primary week of release.

This shows that meme marketing is a rapidly growing marketing strategy which is a perfect combination of humor and advertisement.
